# A pretend video call from Santa

Callfetti lets your child get a pretend video call or phone call from Santa on your iPhone. There is no number to dial. Santa says hello from the North Pole, and then your child taps to choose what happens next.

## What happens in the call

Santa has two stories. Each one asks your child a question, and each answer leads to a different ending. A call takes less than a minute.

### A little North Pole hello

A warm hello, a little kindness, and a sprinkle of North Pole cheer. Santa asks “Which workshop mission?”. Your child picks **a kindness mission** or **the missing elf hat**.

### The great reindeer mix-up

An extra-silly workshop story about a reindeer with a surprising idea. Your child picks **a funny reindeer name** or **the reindeer snack mission**.

### Replay any time

Play the story again to hear the other ending. The stories play without an internet connection once they are on your iPhone.

## How to set up a call from Santa

1. **Open Santa**: In Callfetti, tap Santa and choose a story.
2. **Add a name**: Type your child’s name for the call screen, and choose video or audio only.
3. **Choose when**: Call now, or set a countdown or reminder up to an hour ahead.
4. **Hand over the phone**: Your child answers. If you want, record their reaction and save it in Moments.

## Good to know

- It is a pretend call inside the app. Callfetti does not use your phone number, and it cannot call anyone.
- Santa’s voice is recorded, and he does not understand spoken replies. Your child taps a button to choose.
- You need an iPhone with iOS 17 or later. There is no Android version at this time.
- No account. The reaction video stays on your iPhone.

## Questions about the Santa call

### Is it a real phone call from Santa?

No. It is a pretend call inside the Callfetti app, with a recorded Santa character. It does not use your phone number or mobile carrier, and nobody calls your child.

### Is there a Santa phone number my child can call?

Callfetti does not use a phone number. You open Santa in the app and tap Call now, and the call rings on your iPhone. Your child does not dial anything, and the call does not go through your mobile carrier.

### Does Santa say my child’s name?

You can add your child’s name to the call screen. Santa’s voice is prerecorded, so he does not speak the name.

### Can I make Santa call at a set time, such as bedtime?

Yes, up to an hour ahead. Start an in-app countdown while the app stays open, or set a notification reminder and tap it when it arrives. Both can be set up to 59 minutes and 59 seconds ahead. Callfetti does not ring on the Lock Screen like a real call.

### Is the Santa call free?

At launch, you can finish one story for free and replay it any time. Other stories need a Premium subscription through Apple. The app shows the price before you buy.

### Is my child’s reaction video uploaded?

No. Reaction recording is optional, and the video stays on your iPhone. You decide if you share it.
