# Privacy Policy

Effective date: 3 November 2026 · Last updated: 3 November 2026

## The short version

- Callfetti has no account and no ads. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
- Your callers, photos, audio, reminders and reaction videos stay on your iPhone. We do not receive them.
- The app does not currently send analytics or crash reports to us.
- We receive personal data only when you email us. When you visit this website, our providers process limited technical data, and we count page visits and button clicks without cookies.
- We do not sell your personal data.
- Section 5 lists features that we plan to add. They are not active yet. We will update this policy before we add them.

## 1. Who we are

Callfetti is made by Sherin Benny Antony, an individual developer in India (“we”, “us” or “our”). We decide how the personal data in this policy is used. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”), we are the Data Fiduciary. Under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”), we are the controller.

Contact: [privacy@callfetti.com](mailto:privacy@callfetti.com)

## 2. What this policy covers

This policy covers the Callfetti iPhone app (the “app”), the website at callfetti.com (the “website”), and emails that you send to us. Apple’s privacy policy covers the App Store and Apple services.

## 3. The app

The app works on your iPhone. It does not have accounts, and you do not give us your name, email address or phone number to use it. At the time of this policy, the app works without a connection to our servers.

### Data that stays on your iPhone

| Data | Why the app uses it | Do we receive it? |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Custom callers: the name, portrait or photo, and audio clip that you choose | To show and play your caller | No |
| An optional name that you type for the call screen | To show it during a story call | No |
| Moments: reaction videos that the camera and microphone record when you turn on reaction recording, and details such as the story and the ending | To let you watch, save and share the moment | No |
| Reminders: the caller and the time | To show a notification at the time you choose. iOS keeps the scheduled notification. | No |
| App settings and status, such as downloaded stories and the free story that you used | To make the app work as you expect | No |

### Permissions

The app asks for permission before it uses these iPhone features. You can say no, and you can change your choice later in the iPhone Settings app.

- **Camera and microphone:** only to record an optional reaction video during a story call.
- **Photos:** iOS shows a photo picker. The app receives only the photo that you select for a caller.
- **Files:** the app receives only the audio file that you select for a caller.
- **Notifications:** only for the reminders that you set.

### Sharing from the app

If you share a video, the iOS share sheet sends it to the app or person that you choose. We do not receive a copy. The privacy policy of that app or service then applies.

### Information from Apple

If you turn on “Share With App Developers” in your iPhone’s privacy settings, Apple can give us crash reports and usage statistics. Apple says that this data does not identify you. Apple’s settings control this, not the app.

## 4. The website and email

### Website

Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website. When you visit, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the page that you request and the time. It uses this data to deliver the website and to protect it against attacks. The website has no advertising. Cloudflare can set cookies that are strictly necessary for security.

### Website analytics

We use PostHog, Inc. to learn how visitors find the website and use it. For each page view, PostHog receives the page address, the address of the website that sent you (the referrer), any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source), the browser type, the device type and the approximate country and city. We also record clicks on links and buttons, such as “Email me at launch”, with the button text and the page section. We do not record the email address in a launch email, what you type, or your screen.

The website does not set cookies or store PostHog data in your browser. To count visits without cookies, PostHog calculates a one-way code from your IP address and browser details, mixed with a secret value that changes every day. It cannot follow you from one day to the next or across other websites. Our server sends the events to PostHog, and PostHog does not keep your full IP address. We keep website analytics for up to 12 months.

### Email

When you email support@callfetti.com, privacy@callfetti.com or ideas@callfetti.com, Cloudflare Email Routing forwards the message to the email inbox that we use. We receive your email address, your name if you include it, and your message. We use them to reply to you, to give support, to handle privacy requests, to consider your ideas, and to tell you about the launch if you ask us to.

We keep support and privacy emails for up to 24 months after our last message with you, unless the law requires us to keep them longer. We delete launch-news requests after we send the launch email. You can ask us to delete your emails at any time.

## 5. Planned features that are not active yet

We plan to add the features below. They are not active at the time of this policy. Before we add each one, we will update this policy, show the change date, and update the App Store privacy details.

- **Purchases through Apple:** Premium subscriptions will use Apple’s In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment. We will not receive your card details. The app will check your purchase on your iPhone with Apple’s StoreKit. Apple gives us sales reports, but they do not contain your name or payment details.
- **Online character catalog:** the app will download character listings, images and stories from our content service, which Cloudflare hosts. Each download request includes technical data such as your IP address and the app version. Cloudflare processes this data to deliver the content and to protect the service. We will not link it to your identity.
- **App analytics and error reports:** we plan to use PostHog for usage events and error reports, and Sentry for crash and error reports. Usage events will include which screens open and which buttons you tap, with a fixed name for each button, and results such as “a story download finished” or “a call completed”. They will use a random identifier that the app creates on your iPhone. They will never include your callers’ names, the call-screen name, text that you type, your photos, audio, videos or reminders. We will not use advertising identifiers, device fingerprinting or session recording. A “Share usage data” switch in the app will turn these reports off.

## 6. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. Our service providers process data for us only to provide their service:

- Cloudflare, Inc.: website hosting, security and email forwarding.
- PostHog, Inc.: website analytics (section 4).
- Our email provider: storage of the emails that you send us.
- Apple: app distribution, and, in the future, payments.
- In the future, if section 5 becomes active: PostHog for the app, and Sentry.

We can also disclose data if the law requires it, to protect people from harm, or to protect our legal rights.

## 7. International transfers

Our providers can process data in countries outside your own, including the United States. When the GDPR applies, we rely on the safeguards that our providers offer, such as standard contractual clauses. We follow any restrictions on transfers that the Government of India sets under the DPDP Act.

## 8. Legal basis (EU and UK users)

- **Legitimate interests:** to run and protect the website, to measure how visitors use it without cookies, and to answer your emails.
- **Consent:** launch-news emails, and the iPhone permissions that you give. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- **Contract:** to give support for the app and, in the future, your purchases.
- **Legal obligation:** when the law requires us to keep or disclose data.

## 9. Children

Callfetti is for adults and families. It is not made for children to use alone. An adult should set up calls for a child. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. A child’s reaction video stays on the iPhone where it was recorded. If you think that a child sent us personal data, email [privacy@callfetti.com](mailto:privacy@callfetti.com) and we will delete it.

## 10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can have these rights:

- **India (DPDP Act):** to get a summary of your personal data and how we use it, to correct, complete or update it, to erase it, to nominate another person to use your rights, and to get grievance redressal. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
- **EU and UK (GDPR):** to access, correct or erase your data, to restrict or object to our use of it, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your data protection authority.
- **United States (for example, California):** to know, access, correct and delete your personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To use a right, email [privacy@callfetti.com](mailto:privacy@callfetti.com). We can ask for information to confirm your identity. We will answer within the time that the law requires, usually within 30 days. We will not treat you differently because you use your rights.

## 11. How to delete data in the app

Because app data stays on your iPhone, you control it:

- Delete a caller in My callers, and delete a video in Moments.
- Cancel reminders in the app.
- Delete the app to remove all of its data from your iPhone. Copies can stay in your iPhone or iCloud backups until those backups are replaced or deleted.

## 12. Security

The website uses HTTPS. App data stays inside the app’s storage on your iPhone, where iOS protects it. We limit the personal data that we keep. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

## 13. Changes to this policy

We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will also tell you in the app or on the website before the change applies.
